A warm welcome to our website to all members of our Society and to visitors.

I was very pleased to be invited to be Captain of our Society for 2024, the largest society outside London. It is also an honour for my Club, Childwall, and makes me the fourth Childwall Captain to have become Captain of the Society since its formation in 1959. Indeed, elsewhere on our website you will see how Childwall was a founder member and heavily involved in setting up the Society in 1959, the year I was born!

I look forward to meeting as many of our members as I can during my term of office and to playing some of the wonderful courses which form part of our Society.

The main events of our year are listed on the website and I would encourage as many of you as possible to participate in some or all events. My thanks go to our Committee and the very many members who give so generously of their time.
